The Judgement at Ayers Rock
Pro Hart MBE (1928-2006)
1984, 84 x 60cm, Oil on board
The painting 'The Judgement' depicts what I believed to
be true. The tracker outside the window of the courtroom is frustrated
that the law did not want his evidence and I believed there was a conspiracy
to cover up this evidence. The Judge I painted blindfold as he was blinded
to the real facts. The jury are shown with masks and dark glasses because
they did not see or were not told the true details and were kept in the
dark.

Lindy Chamberlain
Neville Dawson
1988, 183 x 122cm, acrylic on canvas
Neville is Art Master at Newington College in Sydney.
Neville did his PhD thesis on the Chamberlain case, and
I show a few of those paintings on this site. This painting is highly
symbolic, including depictions of Ayers Rock, blood cells, trees to represent
Lindy's children. With Lindy's hair, he depicts her as now being part
of the Rock. Click here for

Graffiti
Mick Vujanov
acrylic, oil, cement on canvas
1985, 170 x 120cm
He told us that title Graffiti was inspired
by the fact that as you enter Sydney by train, you pass by the neglected
back walls of buildings covered with graffitti, commenting on all aspects
of society. Lindy's story has now joined the fabric and lore of Australian
society. He has painted her image, as she looked during her jail time.
